It's going to be stored mainly because in the location there will be taps on their own (some of them anyway) so it would be better if all the water is in a ass collection area and can then be put back into the system to be used to flush the toilets. Personally - I would NOT store greywater - it's not a 'best practice'. Methods of cleaning greywater for storage/reuse often involve biological or living machine systems - definitely more complex.
