If you are butchering animals on a regular basis, you probably have a big pile of bones somewhere. Does anybody have a good use for them?

We've been looking for a bone grinder / pulverizer.

Does anyone know of something that could be used on raw and cooked bones?

We don't want shards that could kill a dog.

It seems there should be something available

Looking to buy or make a bone pulverizer. We don't do much with the bones after butchering.

It would be nice to have something big enough to dump the whole load into for pulverizing. It wouldn't hurt if the hide could run through it also.

A lot of people around here just dump the guts, hide and bones for the coyotes.

Ideal would be to grind fine enough to spread on a field and not be afraid of the animals getting a bone chard.

I saw something like this at a rendering plant I worked at years ago. Way bigger than what I would ever want. They dumped semi trucks and ran it through the machine

On a similar subject, I am wanting to build a grinder for bones - able to handle large bones - Cow, hog, deer, Elk etc.

I would like to build a grinder that could grind undried bones. I sw one at a rendering plant I worked at years ago.

But links to any kind of bone grinder would be appreciated.

I have a 23 hp John Deere 400 that I could make something hook up to the front drive shaft.

Or maybe I could make something to hook up to the Toro 223 D Groundsmaster or Reelmaster that I have.
