I have 7.3 acres and plan to build a house there with alternative building materials. I didn’t know that straw bale would pass inspection in GA. Is cob allowed ?

I  have 7.3 acres in Barrow county and would like to build with cob. How can a cob home pass code inspection in GA? The prices of construction materials are crazy expensive now. It doesn’t make sense to me to build now except if cob is involved.

Does anybody know of land for sale by owner in Oregon ? I am looking for a at least 15 acres or so for the following activities : organic  farming, having, raising a few cows,  sheep, goats and bees. So it needs to have water rights an be able to allow for an off the grid building. An available water source would be vital too. I am open to a trade. We build bungee trampoline systems and electric and gas operated trains. Those system have been a great source of income for their owners ., so we are open to trading new train or bungee trampoline for land in Oregon. If anybody know of anybody with  land that fits the profile, I would appreciate the input.

I have had my heart set in finding land in Oregon to build a self sustainable homestead . I am planning a trip to Oregon to look around and get to know the area. I was told that Oregon has very strict building codes. Is anybody here familiar with Oregon ? I was also told that in many places in Oregon, I would not have water rights. I guess that mean I can't collect the water that falls on my property and/ or can't use the water in my property as I want. What the heck! Where could I go in Oregon to have a few acres where I can build an off the grid home ,be allowed to have farm animals and keep water rights? I would appreciate any information you guys could give me. I will be flying to Jackson county next month to look around. But we are really waiting on my husband to sell his business so we can afford land.
