   We own a12 Acer homestead in NE WA. Homestead has a 4 bedroom house, barn, hay shed, shop, cold room, greenhouse, 12 rotational livestock pens, 5000 square feet of gardens, 2 fruit orchards, full butchers kitchen  including a walk in cold room and alot more than we cant list now. We have cattle, goats, pigs, LGD dogs, chickens, rabbits, geese, and ducks. We are looking for just the right couple to come manage and run our homestead for a year. We have a job offer that would take us away from our homestead for 1 year. It's a great offer but we can only take it if we find someone able and willing to keep this place running. We have to get to know and trust you will be able to run things as well as we do, so this arrangement will start off as a live in roommate type of deal. For the first couple of months we get know you as you get to know the homestead and its routines. Once were both comfortable with the situation we will  pack our bags and leave everything we own and have worked so long for in your hands for a year. We will continue to fund the homestead from the road so all you have to worry about is the actual physical work required to keep our plants and animals happy. This is not a paid position but room and board is included and we can set up a profit share system to give you a little income if your willing to make sales to the public both here on site and at local farmers markets. The right person for this position is going to be someone who not only doesn't mind hard work but also has a interest in homesteading. This has to be a life style your interested in and want to learn about for this to work. If your just looking for free rent in trade for a little hard work this probably isn't going to work for you because it's a lot of work and if your not enjoying the experience and gaining usefull knowhow your actually interested in from this experience then its probably going to be more work than the housing is worth to you. But if you looking to start your own homestead one day and like this kinda life style then the experience and knowledge gained is priceless to you and the hard work isn't a factor at all. we have plenty of knowledge and experience with most everything homesteading related. we have been living off grid running  our 40 acer homestead for the better part of a decade. started with raw land and built it up to a decent size homestead with 30 heads of various livestock, green houses, huggle beds raised beds hydroponics aquaponics 2 miles of terrace for growing fruit trees on a mountain side and alot more. we developed several homestead side hustles that made us just enough for us to monthly costs and personal Bill's so that we could stay full time. unfortunately we were forced to leave that homestead site after we upgraded our power systems over to solar with a Lithium battery bank. 5 month after install the Lithium batteries had a undetectable short that caused them to fail and pretty much leveled the homestead in 5 minutes flat. were now in a new location grid tied and on the blacktop this majes all the side hustles so much easier! but we definitely miss the off grid homestead. we have implemented alot of the off gridsystems like power generation to the new property to add some redundancy to the grid tied house. were planning to put in all the permaculture techniques and systems we had got up and running at the old homestead like juggle beds and hydroponics swelks and terraceing but that takes time so were still working on it but already have that hands on knowledge and experience of doing it all once b4 so if  your interested in off grid systems we will still have those or at least the knowledge required to make those properly. so if this sounds like you please PM us for more information. happy homesteading  and thank you for reading everyone please enjoy the pictures of the new homestead brloe BTW checkout our Facebook page to see pictures and get know what we do

We have 40 wooded acers in ne WA. state (kettle falls) were turning into a permaculture homestead. We're installing terraces, swells, hoogel beds, ponds, rotationall grazing paddocks, market gardens, and a barn over the next year.
We already have several livestock animals on the property and plan to begin breading this year as well.
This is going to be alot of work! And we need help. So we're offering a work trade deal, where you can trade a couple hours of work per day in exchange for RV space. If you live localy and just want to learn while working we can trade labor for food raised here on the property (We also have a small RV here you can ues, and small buildings like yurts or geodesic domes can also be set up) We need help and will take a straight labor trade deal, but this also an awesome free learning opportunity for anyone interested in permaculture, homesteading, offgrid power systems, or animal husbandry. So people with intrest in learning these kinds of things will be given priority.
There's way to many tasks that need doing to list here but here are some examples of the work we need done. Surveying, running fence, planting, tree grafting, animal care, building, canning, slaughtering, butchering, cooking, shopping, research, marketing, and many many more. As you can see there's a wide variety of work that could be done. We're not expecting anyone to do all of that, you can pick and choose what you want to do. There's something for everyone from labor intensive to computer work.
About the property, we're very secluded and off grid, we have power and water systems on site and you can choose to be close to main house and tie into those systems or be farther out on the property and set up your own infrastructure. The property is bordered on 2 sides by national forest and offers great hunting and awesome views of the Columbia River. We're at 2300 ft of elevation and we get all 4 seasons including 2ft of snow in the winter. There is 6 mi of dirt roads to get to the property and a 4wd vehicle is highly recommended. We were planing to offer just the space for the urt, or RV, for someone to bring in there own, however there is an RV here on the property we could let someone ues.
  We are off grid but that only means we make our own power, we have all the modern conveniences, including flush toilets, jacuzzi tub, laundry room, full kitchen, even a 50 in tv. All of these thing would be available for someone here on the property to ues free of charge.
 We currently have 5 goats, (nubian and fainting) 3 IPP pigs, 7 dogs, 4 cats, and over 100 birds, chickens and ducks both layers and meat birds.
We're open to any length of stay, but we're really looking for people that wish to stay 6 months or more. And we're open to long term stays, anyone that works is welcome to stay as long as they like.
   I'm not sure what you mean by " ties" but anyone here and working gets feed everyday and can put a portion of every harvest into their own frezers or jars. Our long term hope is that people will start here on our land and ues that time to save some money and learn enogh homesteading skills to go out a buy thier own near bye piece of land to homestead. This will allow us to start a share network for the big tools like tractors, heavy equipment, and harvesting implements. We could also provide plant starts and baby livestock along with any other help we can to get your own local homestead up and running.
No you wont find any stupid rules here like no drinking or smoking. Your welcome to do whatever you want here as long as you put a little work in each day.
 The land is forested mountains except the areas we have cleared for development. We're bordered by the colville national forest.
We have 13000 gallons of drinking water storage and more water storage for animals and irrigation. And yes there's at least 3 backup plans for everything here including water.
   We are secluded with 4 mi of county maintained dirt roads and 2 mi of our private dirt roads between us and the nearest blacktop road. The nearest store is 15 mi from the property and that is a gas, liquor, and pot shop. Wal mart, north 40, sears Safeway, and 3 hardware stores are in colville about 25 mi from here. Town is about half an hour travel from here. And even in winter town is accessible after we plow our 2 mi road.
