You can use 4'x8' foam insulation around the outside. Use metal fence posts to hold it close to your trailer. Straps too. That will bring your insulation up the walls farther than the straw bales. Leave one bale out where your sewer dumps and another so you can put storage items underneath. You can put those bale's on the outside. Get a couple snow shovels too. You'll need to shovel it out to dump septic. Another option is cinder blocks all around for skirting. Build a small Woodstove room of cinder blocks off one end by your septic. Put some small fans to blow the warm air under the trailer. Like a rocket stove but with a small Woodstove. I'd like to do a rocket stove like this but I've never had experience with one yet and I already have a couple Woodstoves. If you have vents in the trailer you can just modify the air ducts or add vents.

Thank you for the replies. I'm looking forward to using the sagebrush for my hugles now. I have several raised news that I will dig out and rebuild with the woody sagebrush in the bottom. I am also going to build hugles as berms on my property lines, so I can add privacy, garden space and shade trees. Hopefully they will hold enough water from the winter spring and fall to get through the tortuous hot summers.

My property is in the high desert of north central Washington. I have no wood or sticks. There is lots of sagebrush. Can i use sagebrush? Wood pellets? And wood chips for a huglekulture bed?
