I am also doing this on my own, as you have realised take things slowly, I did the basics in my first year and then just observed what happened through the year, simple things like where gets the most sun — shadow, where the rain water runs, ohbyes and keeping paths clear when you have snow….the shorter paths the better😉🙂.
Its a wonderful adventure, you will love it😊.
 what animals do you plan to have?  I had sheep and chickens.

Hi Sean, if you are interested in living and doing permaculture in Finland I would be happy to help and share all that I have learnt.
I have lived here for nearly 15 years and had a homestead, sheep,chickens  grew all our own veggies and fruit.
Theres a lot thats different here, climate being one! but I love it.
If you are Irish then you are still Eu citizen, so no problems, I also know where there is a possibility for work if you could teach English?
I am not a young one anymore.... well young at heart anyway but very happy to help with any questions you may have....please feel free to ask, I would certainly recomend living here if you love an active outdoor lifestyle.It is truly an amazing country, its certainly got my heart.
