We're near the town of Ava, so I would say about two and a half to three hours from Kansas.

We are building a community on a 169 acre permaculture farm in Southwest Missouri. The farm was established in permaculture principles and ethics over 16 years ago and is ready for like minded people to come together. We're looking for friends, community, family tribe call it what you will. What we're building here is more than ourselves, we're building for the future generations based in sustainability and happiness. If anyone is interested in knowing more about what we're doing please feel free to contact me and open a dialogue.

Hi there! I found your post most intriguing. I'm 47 and a widower myself, with no family or attachments to speak of. I'd love to communicate more with you and get to know you better. I live in Southwest Missouri in a permaculture based community (currently there are only two of us that live here but we are seeking others two join us and build a tribe). If you are interested you can email me at shimshone1972@gmail.com or message me on Facebook (Shimshone Geshem).

Hello out there LOL. I have been living in community for the past several years but have found the experiences rather unsatisfying. Most communities, in my experience, aren't what they say they are. They either have a hierarchy that preached equality as long as it's with their exceptions or they have some overwhelming ideology that is forced on the membership. I love the community life. Everyone taking care of one another and building a life together.
My skill set is varied and eclectic LOL. I spent most of my adult life working in the construction field doing mostly electrical work, but I have a good working knowledge of all construction. The skills I'm proud of and enjoy are cooking and food preservation (very important, the grid will fall and we have to be prepared). I am also a trained Baker (all types of breads and some sweets). The past few years I have also been broadening my knowledge of solar power as well as other alternative electrical generation.
I would like to find a small community that is getting established or just needs experienced people to help build up the community. I am currently in Missouri but if things work out I am more than willing to relocate.
If anyone wants to contact me for further details or discussion please email me shimshone1972@gmail.com.
Thanks, Shimshone

Hello there. I have been looking for a community to help build. I've been living communally for the past few years and have found long established communities most unsatisfying. They either have a rigid established hierarchy (regardless if they claim to be equal /egalitarian or not) or an oppressive culture (religious or over the top partying). I have been looking for a simpler life off grid without all the drama.
