Hi Everyone,
I just had a chilling conversation with one of the local listers in Central Vermont. I got the feeling that she doesn't want my kind living in her neighborhood, the kind that skirts regulations in order to create an affordable, safe, and environmentally conscious home for myself. I even inquired about a tiny house on wheels and was told that it can't be on the land for more than 120 days, or in use for more than 60. Thing is that I have so many friends who have little cabins, tiny homes, converted buses, yurts, etc., on their land without a septic system. I'm feeling quite sad in this moment, as though my dreams for quiet, off-grid living are being squashed.
I really appreciate the advice that everyone shared over the past few years. If you have any updates on how you navigated your septic design or grey water system, please reply.
Thanks,
