I don't normally but I just heard that when you put them in the lime water that they need to be clean.

Have any of you tried washing the eggs then coating them in oil before the lime wash? I get more dirty eggs then clean and want to preserve as many as I can.

I have a question about lime water eggs for preserving.. I know everything I seen said do not wash you eggs but is there a way to wash them and maybe coat them in oil or wax then put them in the lime water solution? I am getting a ton of eggs but so many are dirty and I change the bedding!
