Hey! My name is Nick, and as a man of 36 years I'm in search for, as it's said, "my best part", to marry one day, settle down, and create a happy and healthy family.

It's quite a task to fit even major points about one's life in a brief text, but let's start here - I'm 6'1 tall, average built, bearded for last fifteen years
I have Master's Degree in Engineering and honorary Doctorate, but in fact I'm rather a weird mix of nerd and outdoorsman - from one side, big part of my hobbies are reading, researching history, fantasy stuff, but from another I'm also into hiking outdoor, river and open sea kayaking, shooting, fencing and overall being outside and active.

The same duality is also with my careers and jobs - I had various ones from wooden house construction and landscaping to being a projects director for a big international tech company, thus, both with hands and brains.

My farming experience is a bit limited but I helped for many years at my grandparents' farm (apple and plum orchard, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, strawberries and lots of other things), wooden construction experience and some volunteering with horses.

It would be very nice one day to have a plot of land in some picturesque place with forests, stream, hills and plains nearby, and to have a real homestead there. Maybe even something where you can also help others learn the basics of what it's like to do farming, animal husbandry and related activities, and to set up also some thematic events... eh, I need to think less of business plans definitely, but you got the basic idea.

Right now I serve as a vice president of historical nonprofit, and also work as a part-time chef; in my free time I'm an author of history books and tour guide. I'm also training a provincial medieval fencing club as a volunteer. Altogether it gives a pretty good coverage for both making a living and having some hobbies, but leaves too little time for sleep in some days. That's the price, I guess. Of course, in the future family will be my priority; as a person whose father was almost absent for long periods of time I understand how wrong such course of actions is.

My life wasn't straightforward; it had complications, ups and downs, I traveled quite a bit, for jobs and volunteerings, sometimes to have some relax too. I don't know if I was mature enough to start a family and to lead it together with my wife through life's events, and to raise kids (if they will be) as decent people and good citizens, but now I can say that I am, with all the life experience I got.

Never smoked even tobacco, and staying away from any illegal drugs too. I like sometimes to have a glass of nice bourbon whisky but as I need sober mind for all my work and projects last time I did it so far was 4th of July.
I have never been married and have no kids.

Christianity is important for me, I think it won't be exaggeration to say that its principles help me to guide my life. While I attend Catholic church now, I see very positively other Christian branches too.
I'm of mixed origin, my father is American, and mother is Russian.
Right now I live in Southern Italy but next year I have an intention to move to the US; most of my friends there are from the Easy Coast but I always wanted to go somewhere closer to the old Frontier places and further from aglomerations like BosWash - anyway, it's to define later.

I have taken this test before. Think I was an INFJ. But don't remember. Loved reading these posts. I am continuresearching living off grid. Premier stuff bit don't seem to be able to "get out of town". Would love country quiet. Lived a year or two on 25 acres cherry farm with my family as a kid, loved the space and quiet.
I am relating to the not  doing well finding a partner. I am divorced for the second time. Both turned out narcissistic... I was devastated. I am now living out of... hiding... in someone else's spare room. Could definitely do the van living thing if I could get myself together.
Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry, it must be hard to get mostly problems of a serious kind from relationships. Personally I won't advice trying van liufe while you are still depressed, it might be interesting but it definitely requires some initial charge of positivety and energy, so better first to treat yourself where you are From my personal experience, changes out of desperation are rarely successful in bringing what we want from then.

I used to try dating but I have decided not to anymore. It's to exhausting trying to figure out what other people want!

When I did online date I had this as my avatar

Hey! And what is T subtype of INFJ? It's not related to Terminator T-800 or T-1000 robots, right? Ahaha

No way, haha! I'm an INFJ too, and I feel exactly the same, and yeah, never yet had a partner. I never really thought those things are connected, and also with interest to permaculture - I'm not yet doing it for some difficult life circumstances but I closely research it, and hopefully one day...!

It's really nice to see so many fellow INFJs here, and some cool memes

Hey! Just wanted to wish you good luck in this plan - hope the community succeeds, I'll pray for you guys.
I won't recommend wood chips; as for me it's a pretty bad surfact to walk barefoot on. Personally I prefer something like mix of sand and round stones, like shingles for such a trail pavement; my granny had exactly one like this on her farm. It's also good for rainy areas (the farm was in a very marshy area) as the water doesn't stay on it but goes below, and it dries fast.
