It looks like I live just two counties away from yours, and I can tell you that we can grow really nice peach trees down here, although these late last frosts of the past couple years have interfered with the fruit coming. But the trees definitely thrive!
Apples do pretty well here as long as you have enough sun for them. I planted mine in a shady garden, not knowing they need tons of sun, and sadly they got a fungus and died.
Blueberries, while not trees, give fruit and it's a very happy blueberry season here right now!

Thank you for this! I noticed on a walk yesterday there was a pair tree. So I'll be adding peaches and apples in a few months.
