white clover it is...

I will intersperse some wild flower seeds as its a border area so it looks nicer

here the situation....

my garden is bordering with a lawn orchard that's rarely mown and maintained. that means couch grass has started to invade my turf. i removed most of it with a garden fork and elbow grease and now i'm contemplating which plants to plant to stop the invasion from happening again. that area is mostly shaded in the afternoon and I have some tayberries and blackberries near it.

i was thinking of a combination of mint, com/frey and nettles would keep the dreaded couch grass at bay, provide some nice ground cover and usable mulch material. or would some wild strawberries be a safer option than mint. maybe just a simple mixture of green manure would be enough? or maybe there's something entirely better?

You should've sown some cover crop that can outcompete the weeds which gets mowed down before planting your main crop. This way you get a mulch layer that stops many weeds from germinating as well as keeping the soil covered. You can lightly till in the cover crop if you have the right equipment

I used a system of growing hairy vetch which gets mowed down before planting tomatoes and there was no tilling involved.

I think that the 3 tier system isn't really beneficial since all you're trying to achieve is a label to differentiate ethical and natural producers from your typical commercial aggriculture. Also, I find it is bad to have a trademark name AgriTrue and then labeling businesses as AgriTrue Silver/Gold/Platinum. You lose the simplicity that makes the entire concept work.

I understand Paul's penchant for marking everything on a scale (not to say that I agree with him) but if you're targeting Joe public you shouldn't force them to educate or choose between lots of numbers because they just won't in most cases or they'll get too confused. Those that are educated can ask additional questions on the AgriTrue website which should function like Angie's List as far as I understand it.

If you're really seaching for middle ground between Paul and you then settle on only two tiers, perhaps:
AgriTrue - natural and ethical farming (no gmo, no -icides)
AgriTrue+ (or AgriTrue Plus) - completely organic practice that is practicing (even in some small parts) biodynamic and/or permaculture
I'd leave the true permaculture businesses to label their stuff as permaculture independently.

I love the idea of QR codes and would make then mandatory for everyone.

I would recommend you to observe that land for a whole year so you'll know where it is fooding or drying out sooner. if there are some windy spots, frost pockets, etc. In the meantime read Gaia's Garden and Sepp Holzers Permaculture, trawl these forums and just start planning the general layout.

That's what I did on my small property in Vinkovci

If you need some permaculture certified designers I know there are some in Zagreb. Check out Reciklirano imanje and http://permakultura.org/

It's just 4 ducks... I think soaking some grains/legumes and some duckweed (ifi I manage to collect enough) will be the best solution

I recently got a couple of ducks to work on the slug problem. They're eating the aforementioned slugs, dropped fruit (cherry, apple, pear),  squash, tomatoes, watermelond rind and grass and kitchen scraps. I've noticed they really like the stale rolled oats I gave them so I'm thinking about feeding them some oats occasionally.
I'm growing sunflowers for their winter feed alongside apples and winter squash that I'll store but I get a feeling it won't provide them complete nutrition for egg laying.

Should I supplement their feed with some grains and which grain would be the best choice? Most of the poultry feed in my country is medicated or the origin of ingredients is iffy.
