Install/Repair an AC Outlet - PEP BB electricity.sand.AC outlet

Today I installed a 110 Volt 30 Amp camper RV outlet. I had to use an adapter cord to be able to plug in the socket tester.

As part of a larger project I recently installed several new outlets which I am submitting for this BB.  Sorry the images aren't close-up shots.  At the time for some reason I was just focusing on documenting the overall project and taking wide angle shots.  Hopefully they will work.  In particular I hope you are able to see clearly enough that the correct lights on the socket tester are lit!  The larger project is creating an exhaust system with 7 inlets/individual fans which are in two rooms that will all be turned on/off with a 3 way switch.  For this I wired up a total of 5 new outlets, 4 in the main room, and one in another room on the other side of the wall.

I realize now I only showed the tester working on one of the outlets.  While I did verify they all worked properly I fully accept if only one is counted for this BB.  (That's all I need for my sand badge.  The others would be duplicates for straw.)

I replaced several outlets in my basement. Here is photo's from one of those replacements.

Here is a quick swap of an AC outlet. Nothing in particular is wrong, it just doesn't match the new paint scheme.

The old plug didn't really have any wiring issues, but cables were loose and the plug was brittle.

More maintenance type work at work today.

Had to move a wire out of an outlet box and in doing so, noticed the outlet had a crack in it.  Weird...  So I replaced it.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
 - install new or replace existing AC outlet

I’m working on improving my basement including insulating the walls from moisture and temperature. I installed five new outlets in the studs I put up to hold the insulation. This is the last in the run.

The outlet in the basement room doesn't like to hold onto the vacuum plug. I don't want to modify the plug and damage the vacuum so I wanted to fix it. I also tried to plug in a light fixture and also had the same loose plug problem. So I opted to replace the unit. I don't use this outlet for anything other than vacuuming so I changed it to a single outlet with a night light. It's also an exterior wall so I added an insulation foam behind the new cover.
