I am cleaning an exterior of an oven, and also cleaning the interior of an oven, but we're only talking about the exterior right now.  I used baking soda, water, and vinegar.

Here is my submission for the Nest - Sand - Alice - Deep Clean the Exterior of a Stove/Oven BB.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided a 2-minute video of:
  - the dirty exterior of the stove/oven
  - an action shot of oven during cleaning (scrubbing the glass top of the stove/oven)
  - the oven pulled out - before, action, and after images of cleaning the area behind and under
  - an after picture of clean exterior of the stove/oven
  - two photos showing usual cleaner and cleaners used for this BB

The usual glass top cleaner is EarthBright - a biodegradable cleaner
Today's cleaners: hydrogen peroxide and baking soda mixed together into a paste and a scrubby sponge

Here is my submission for deep cleaning the stove. Everything was wiped down with soapy water (using the unscented company biodegradable dish soap) to get the dirt and oily bits off. I used warm water on a damp cloth to polish everything up afterwards. I used a razor to scrape the burnt bits off the stove top.

I didn’t even know if I could access the back and sides of the oven - neither did my landlord, or the previous tenets. What I discovered, was pretty gross. Oh joy, I was now going to clean someone else’s filth as well as my own.

My weapons of choice:

1) Natural sponge with scrubber - the one I use for dishes which at the end of the season would be rinsed and composted
2) Dish cloth
3) Dustpan and brush
4) Tooth brush
5) Lodge pot scraper
6) Curved bristle brush
7) Bucket with hot water and Castile soap
8) Lots of Baking Soda
9) Soft drying cloths

Was making birthday chocolates today and spilled some down between the oven and the benchtop. When I pulled out the oven to make sure it didn't drip onto the unsealed MDF, I noticed the sides were in a bit of a state. We last pulled out the oven and cleaned the exterior about a year ago, but it seems like that's not quite often enough! Gave everything a good scrub with baking soda and used 600grit on the top to take out some scratch marks and polish it up. Looks very shiny now, and loads better!

To get everything shiny, I used:
* A butter knife to get off the big stuff and work into seams
* Baking soda and an abrasive pad to scrub the surfaces
* A wet rag to clean off the baking soda
* A second (dry) rag to wipe up

For this BB, I pulled out my oven and went to work. I used the general purpose cleaner from another BB (water, lemon juice, white vinegar). I scrubbed with a sponge and metal wire ball.

I cleaned my oven today. I started by using just hot water and a cloth, but quickly realised that it wasn't enough to remove the stains on the back of the oven. Therefore, I mixed together warm water, some lemon juice, baking soda and a little bit of vinegar. As the marks were persistent on the back, I had to use a metal scrubber.

I cleaned the outside of the oven with the same baking soda paste that I used for the inside. I left it on for 20 min then wiped clean with paper towels. I wiped it one last time with a damp microfiber cloth. I also pulled it out, vacuumed and mopped. It's so much cleaner now!
