Yesterday, I made comfrey salve.

Comfrey residing under one of my apple trees.

Recipe from my Natural Medicine Journal.

I let the comfrey dry out a bit and crumbled the leaves before adding the olive oil.

After about 3 hours on very low heat, the oil is strained.

The infused oil is returned to the pan and beeswax is added to melt (also low heat).

Warm salve poured into a small jar.

Finished salve the next day.

I used mostly olive oil and a bit of safflower oil.

Comfrey continuation, made oil, now salve! I added cedar  and mint cause I use it on bug bites as comfrey is known to be pain reliever and salve makes my skin less itchy overall.
I used comfrey, evoo, beeswax and cedar and peppermint EVOO (12 drops total).

Note: I can't tell if your oil is filtered or has comfrey leaves in it.  Could you verify or add a photo of the oil and comfrey leaf combo?

I already strained the comfrey oil so I took a few photos to show there are no leaves inside. If this doesn't work, I will have to wait until I make another batch. It's so dark I can't really photograph a photo through the oil!

Here is my submission for the Natural Medicine Aspect - Sand for Straw - Make a Comfrey Leaf Salve BB.

I harvested Comfrey Leaf at Wheaton Labs during the PTJ 2021.  I heated organic extra virgin olive oil and fresh comfrey leaves in the easy bake oven (coffin) to make the infused oil.  I then heated 4 ounces of comfrey leaf oil and 80 grams of organic beeswax until they melted together and transferred to a storage jar.  I initially combined 4 ounces of oil with 65 grams of beeswax but that was too soft so I reheated the mixture and added more wax.  Now it is perfect (or at least more to my liking).  I also purchased some salve tins (like what we used during the PTJ) but they have not arrived yet so I'm using an old spice jar.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
- a picture of your comfrey leaf, freshly harvested
- a picture of the comfrey leaf in the oil with a description of what oil and other ingredients you used
- a picture of your completed salve in its permanent, labeled jar

Comfrey makes a wonderful salve! I like to make mine on the thick side, and use it as a lotion bar. I harvested this comfrey from my garden, heat-infused it and gumweed and mullein flower into plain olive oil. Then I added equal parts beeswax and shea butter. I end up with this little puck that rubs just the right amount of lotion-y feeling salve onto feet/hands/hineys!

This is my very first salve!

I filled a jar halfway with dried comfrey and then filled it to the top with olive oil. Then I let it infuse for 4 weeks.
Here is the submission for that oil infusion: https://permies.com/p/1932071

For the salve, I followed the instructions in the book The Healing Garden by Juliet Blankespoor. I highly recommend this book!
I heated the comfrey oil to 110 degrees in a homemade double boiler. Then I added 1 ounce of beeswax pellets and let it completely dissolve. Once it was a smooth consistency, I added 1/2 tsp vitamin E oil to prevent rancidity and poured into salve tins. I added a couple drops of lavender oil to a few of them. They will last 1-3 years.

I have been wanting to make comfrey salve essentially all year but didn't get to it. In the end, right before Christmas seemed like the best fit so I can gift some :)

Harvested some plantain , comfrey, mint and lavender. Bruised then placed into pot with oil
Let it sit on low heat, strained thru cheese cloth, and added beeswax. Put into jars and let cool.
