Does that satisfy the BB requirement for:

     - lithium grease or food based fats that are solid at room temperature

hmm turns out it is not lithium based. I was merely trying to use up grease that i have had for 7 years haha.

I will need to find another squeaky door!

I was surprised that the lithium grease felt more like Elmer's glue than greasy.  Slipped right in and stopped the squeak.  Decided to put in a door stop while I was at it.

Here is my submission for the Nest - Sand - Grease Hinges BB.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
  - the door hinges before
  - an action shot of you greasing the door hinges
  - the greased door hinges
  - state or show the lubricant you used

I greased hinges on the furnace room door and in my bathroom with White Lithium Grease by Blaster.  I plan to grease the hinges on all the doors (interior, exterior, and cabinet) in the house this week as they have not been greased in over a decade.
My process is/was to wipe any dust off the hinge, add a quick spritz or two to each hinge, open and close the door several times, and wipe off any excess.

Greased my front door hinges as they were squeaky for awhile now. Just sprayed a bit of white lithium grease on the hinge and opened and closed the door a few times and wiped up the excess. Worked like a charm.

I greased the hinges of two doors that had very minor squeaks. It did immediately cause the squeaking to cease, however after using this method, I will probably use the rest of the grease on my hay baler chains as it was too messy in my opinion for indoor use. It came out of the tube under such high pressure that it splattered on the door and door framing and made small drops on the floor.

I have greased the hinges of my door! I really love that you included something as simple as this. I was used to the door always being squeaky, now I know that there's a better way to live.

I was on the phone the other day with my mom, and as I entered my apartment she asked, "What's that awful noise?" I explained that it was the front door squeaking as I opened it. She and my father then proceeded to highly recommend WD-40. Luckily I'd already read through this badge bit, and was able to inform them of some alternative solutions. This was met with disbelief, and more salespitches for WD-40. Couldn't talk them out of it. Anyways, coconut oil did the job beautifully. It took a few hours and some opening and closing of the door for it to really set in and stop the squeaking (wasn't able to remove the hinges, as you can see it's not your typical hinge, and as the door is in a corner, I couldn't get a firm grip on the hinge cap with the tools I tried to wedge in to grasp it.) I applied the oil with my fingers. Results were messy and effective. Feeling pretty superhero-esque. Next stop... that squeaky bathroom door lever handle....

Our bedroom door developed quite a squeak, so it was time to deal with it. After doing this, I questioned why it took so long to get to it.

We luckily have an old farm manor, with really nice door hinges. Years ago I learnt the trick that coconut oil does wonders, so that is ALL I use now. Even works on the painted one.
