This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Plumbing.

In this Badge Bit, you will install a large and, dare I say elegant, cistern for a community.  All components need to be winter capable for your area without using heat tape or other band-aids.  Gravity feed or a pump to the community is fine.  The idea is that the cistern improves the quality of the water over time.

Minimum requirements to get this BB:
  - cistern deep enough to not freeze
  - 5000 gallon minimum capacity
  - the whole system is freeze protected (without heat tape or other band-aids)

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
  - the site before you start work
  - cistern hole dug
  - tank(s) in place
  - piping under construction
  - piping done
  - backfilled and finished
