This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Metal Working.

For this BB, you will be making a trailer at least 4' by 6' in size!

Here is one way to do it:

Point range is 8 to 24 points.  8 points for a relatively normal trailer.  16 points for extra features (tilt, enclosed, low rider, extra beefy).  24 points for something really hard to make with several features.

Minimum requirements:
 - You're building the frame
 - Purchased axle(s) and tongue is fine
 - Good enough to safely drive down the road at highway speeds

To document your completion of the BB, provide the photos or video (<2 min) of the following:
 - The supplies you're starting with
 - Partway through the build
 - The finished trailer, obviously at least 4'x6'

Edge case submission
Just to preface, there was a need on the farm and this trailer fills that need, so please don't judge to harshly!

We have so much property here and there is just no way we can cut trees down anywhere further than where the kids can haul it up to process and that can be pretty tiring.

The axle was actually in the barn when the mother in law got the property so tjat was used and the wheels are all poifect.

The ironic thing is that there was no steel anywhere yet we still had the axle so I decided to chop the casing to get the pole out of the middle and see what I could do from there.

The tow ball mount was purchased brand new and now we have a functioning "log-carrying trailer" - that is just 4' between the wheels and 6' just before the tow ball mount.

I don't mind if i even get less points that the minimum described on this BB. But again, there was a need and it is now filled!

Staff note (gir bot) :

Someone flagged this submission as an edge case BB.

Note: Would you feel comfortable (and be legal) putting 1000 lbs on that trailer and hauling it 20 miles at highway speeds?
