I built a 1,500 sq ft freestanding shop, dimensions are 30’ wide by 50’ long, walls are 12’ high. Studs are 16” on center and trusses are spaced every 2’. A partition wall was built at the back, creating a 22’x30’ living space that I am currently finishing out.

I'd like to submit construction of a sugar shack (place where you boil maple sap).  This structure is a 14' by 34' (476 sq ft) pole building with conventional trusses and a metal roof.  The posts were cut on a buddy's sawmill.  The trusses were a gift from that same buddy (reclaimed from a prior building).  The window screen was from the Restore.  The wood siding is sawmill slab wood that I milled into boards.  The lower splash resistant siding is salvaged from a house remodel.  The soffit was pallet boards (heat treated pallets).  The door is reused from a remodeling project.  The roofing, gutters and fascia was new from the store

I had help with getting the trusses up and the roofing started since those are hard to do with one person.
