This badge bit (BB) is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in textiles.

In this project, you will sew a rucksack from oilcloth.

How to Make Authentic Oilcloth

Minimum requirements:
  - use natural fabrics like cotton, linen, or canvas
  - minimum size: 18" x 12.5" not including the shoulder straps
  - minimum two internal compartments
  - minimum of two external pockets (maybe to hold water bottles)
  - straps must be adjustable

To document completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pics or video (< 2 minutes):
  - The fabric, oil/wax, and tools you will use for your project
  - Sewing the rucksack about halfway through
  - Finished rucksack (perhaps with a tape measure)

Clarification: you can use the oilcloth you made for the Transform 1-yard of fabric into oilcloth BB.

It looks like it's time for me to write you a reality check! Or maybe a tiny ad!
