We have a new idea; SEPPer theme weeks!

Take a deep dive into permaculture for a week, meet like-minded people and enjoy nature in the beautiful Montana countryside.

Come and visit the Wheaton Labs for a week dedicated to a certain topic.

Vacation Rentals and Accommodations at Wheaton Labs

The plan:

  • Rent a cabin or a bunk through the SEPPer program, arrival day is Sunday.

  • Monday through Friday, the afternoon Permaculture Bootcamp shift will focus on a SEPPer theme of the week! Our Bootcamp High Commander Stephen will be guiding you as you work on, for example, hugelkultur gardening, roundwood timberframing or rocket heater maintenance!

  • During a SEPPer theme week, the SEPPers are welcome to join the Bootcamp for three meals.

  • August 2024 theme week: Earthworks!

Come and learn how to use an excavator, or drive a tractor! For the third week of August it's all about earthworks.

    During the week:

Possible projects are still to be decided, but possible projects could include finishing the project sites of the Permaculture Technology Jamboree if needed.

    Paul will talk about earthworks.

Movie night featuring the World Domination Gardening Movies.

    And of course, Taco Tuesday!

Excavating! Moving earth! Learning what and why with other people who are into earthworks and permaculture!

Sounds nice? Check out our rentals here and send us an email at bunks AT richsoil DOT com to reserve your spot, bunk or cabin!

I think all of the theme weeks will come with a heavy dose of "it depends":

       - what are the highest priorities for the bootcamp during the week?
       - what do the people that are here want to do?
