Halfway through the PTJ and I definitely needed to do some laundry. I wasn’t the only one. Remona, Nick and I chatted while we hand washed and then hung our clothes to dry. Everything is better in community.

This was my first time hand washing clothes, so I'm sure there are several things to improve upon. I put all my dirty clothes in the tub, added soap and water, agitated, let them soak for a few minutes, agitated them again, rinsed, wrung them out by hand, then hung.

Some fantastic information in this one. When I travel I always had wash in a sink with whatever soap is available.

For this task, I used 100% biodegradable liquid Castile soap. I hung the large items outside, pegged to the washing line, and the small items, inside on drying racks. This is more efficient.

I laundered a load of clothes in the kitchen sink and dried it on the line in the back yard.
