My old textile box containing, 2 scissors, scissor sharpener, many color cotton and petroleum thread, thimble, many needles, many straight pins, 2 cloth measuring tape, a box of safety pins, seam ripper.

Edit: thanks for the comment about the glue. Never used it, so it's a good comment to motivate me to give it to 2nd hand store or something like that.

    Text for textile toolbox:
I have so many things that need mending. And so many things to mend them with. But still no good place to keep them. UNTIL NOW!
    SyskrinAlleTinga.jpg
All the things. Note that my scissor sharpener is the trusty ole file hidden there somewhere. Also pig mug for good measure and better luck (will not be going in, but will be a part of most mends)

I have a wonderful sewing setup, including a cabinet that was retro-fitted to fit my sewing machine. I had most of these things (the scissors sharpener is new! How did I not know there was such a thing??) but they were scattered amongst my drawers. After laying them out for this bb, I organized this sewing desk. My "toolbox" is actually a whole chest of drawers, but I will show them going into the top "wooden box."

I got all the stuff together for a textile toolbox. My last post was missing the safety pins. They are here in these pictures this time, included in an amazing, refurbished antique tacklebox :)

I finally got the scissor sharpener to finish making my sewing kit! My sister-in-law gave me this lovely little hussif two Christmas's ago, and I've used it a LOT to bring sewing supplies to my kids school to teach the kids how to sew, bind books, etc.

    so many precious sewing tools

I honestly love how many of these things were gifts to me, and it makes it a joy for me to use them!

    - sewing needles
    - beeswax
    - safety pins
    - awl
    - scissor sharpeners
    - purple sewing pins (from my other sister-in-law)
    - purple scissors (from my husband)
    - cotton thread assortment (from my mother-in-law)
    - thimble (that was my grandmothers)
    - fabric measuring tape (that was my other grandmother)
    - seam-ripper (from my mom)

    all tucked away!

rolled up and safely stored for easy transport!

Hello Permies, here is my sewing kit!  It's all there and then some.  The thimbles are a little hard to see, but they are on top of the pack of safety pins, just below the needles and to the left of the cloth tape. The container is an old pencil case I found that my kids were no longer using, it is the perfect size for what I have right now.

I got given this sewing kit years ago and I've replaced the thread it came with (and lost some straight pins!) over time. I added scissor sharpeners to it recently so I can apply for this BB. The needles are hard to make out but they're in one of the compartments. They have their own little needle case so I don't lose them.
