This was our much loved labrador retriever cross border collie Douglas. One of a local unplanned litter that was the result of an unfortunate timed phone call (!). He was the first dog who looked after us and he was such a sweetie. He used to do welcome duty at the shop sometimes because he just loved everyone. Water and fetch balls were big favourites.

Well after 2 months of 7 littles we are down to 5. Hopefully after next weekend it will be 3 littles and 2 bigs. That's still 1 too many littles but at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel LoL

This is Nugget, who is unbelievably also not a chicken tender. Nugget's full name is Moonshine Neverbug. We tried calling him Moonshine, it just didn't stick. So then it was Nugget which worked better, though he's commonly called Nug.

He's considered a toy rat terrier being under 15 lbs. Some in the breeding world dispute the term "toy" and say there are ratties and miniature ratties, but no toys.

He's a toy. I dubbed him so.

The lazy cat in the photo is Rayla or "Ray-Ray" who thinks she's the Great Hunter, and now that the back yard is fenced in, she's pleased with her new hunting grounds, though she's old and hasn't caught anything except grasshoppers and a disoriented mole.

Had to add a little spring picture of my hound to the thread. The good weather has her out on the prowl!

Loves attention and has so many facial expressions to communicate his mood to us.
Thinks he's a lap dog.

Here are our current boys, now a little over 3 years old.  They're terrible with the chickens, but they do raise a fuss if a possum or other predator comes anywhere near.  They will always expect to be lap dogs, LOL

This is my Valkyrie, previously posted with my little dog, Gizmo. Here she is engaged in canine therapy with my granddaughter who was missing her absent dogs. To see how Val dealt with an angry charging dog visit the Strange Things Dogs Do thread.
