Ferro cement water tanks easily support soil load. Pigeons are a great idea. Air moisture can be harvested as dew and then stored in a tank if the conditions exist. Locating leaks underground is difficult. Best is above ground. Shade with whatever if necessary. check http://www.ferrocement.com

Perhaps you will become famous for a very rare olive oil. The stone idea is great.

I write some almost every day. It builds up.

Now I have a bit of it on line. Here's my latest performance art novel. I call it performance art because I carry it around and give the first few chapters away. Hope you like it.

Hello Eric,

There is no sign up page at http://www.ferrocement.com No requests for donations or advertisements, either.

ferrocement.com has been gratis world wide since 1999. Book sales paid the way in the early years before everyone had computers.

Water tank rainwater page is also gratis http://ferrocement.com/tankBook/ch14.en.html all ideas are welcome via email.

About drinking rainwater with bird poop maybe on roof.

What should one do about breathing dust with dried bird poop in the air via walking feet or rolling car tires?

Rainwater is best stored above ground in sunlight. Sewage, pollution and disease drain away from stored water, plus there are no fittings to leak inward and contaminate.

The sand problem is easy. Simply install your use pipe a few inches off the bottom of the tank.

Check http://ferrocement.com/tankBook/indici.en.html for the english .en version of ferrocement tank construction

Ferrocement roofs are best waterproofed with a mixture of acrylic and cement. Nothing leaches out of the cement into the soil that I know of. Cement is old sea shell rock formations ground and baked to drive water from the stone molecules. The usual environmental concern is energy used to make cement. This way it is thin and reduces pressure on forest harvest. http://www.ferrocement.com then go to the first to items on the list for more info.

PS > The big difference in ferrocement houses is they are storm, earthquake and fire safe,. They don't need as much insurance and maintenance and thus eventually pay for themselves with this savings.
