I've been using Indian Madder recently and it is really helping with some health issues I have been having.  The flip side of that is that some research has found that Indian Madder taken orally can cause cancer.  Does anyone have any more insight into this?  Any info would be appreciated.

Trace, I don't know anything about Indian Madder, but I've just started looking for a good book on medicinal herbs and wonder if you might be able to recommend a really good one.

Greetings, I too be unfamiliar with Madder perhaps a good Ayurvedic book would help to shed some light. Anything by Vasant Lad. I have a few of his books.

The below book is my cross reference book. I have several herbal med books. Then I double check with herbal actions and intent. It's not an easy read, but a great reference.
