I bought wheat bran to add to some of the goats ration for a ph source a while back. I would prefer rice bran but couldn't find any. anyway. this stuff was way to fine and dusty and so I didn't use it. but I thought it might be good for the fruit trees. don't they like phosphorous? do I have to compost it first or do you think I can just spread it under the canopy?

Spread it, esp if you can cover it with a layer of something so it doesn't blow away and feed the weeds downwind.

thanks! I will wait until before a rain so it will hopefully settle a bit tight away.
