There are some Darwin fans here, and we've discussed some technology issues, too, so this article just seemed ripe for MD.

Seems this person, "theconner," used Twitter to talk about his job offer:

"Cisco just offered me a job! Now I have to weigh the utility of a fatty paycheck against the daily commute to San Jose and hating the work.”

Well, most companies are "doh!" computer savvy these days, so here was a Cisco reply:

"Who is the hiring manager. I’m sure they would love to know that you will hate the work. We here at Cisco are versed in the web."

It's become an Internet joke, with websites and all kinds of YouTube "tributes" being sung to "theconner," or "Cisco Fatty" as they're calling him!

ha! the new natural selection tool. the internet. but I'm afraid it will have little impact on the gene pool. the poor lad will end up with a lower paying job which is associated (strangly) with having more offspring
