So I'm making this shawl for my grandma on my Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom that My dad gave me for Christmas, and it's a very calming thing to do. I got the scissors from Japan Woodworker because I wanted to copy them in the smithy, but as it turns out they're very good scissors for cutting yarns without fraying them.
The shawl is unwashed wool that still has its natural oils. It wasn't dyed according to the manufacturer, this is the wool's natural color they say. I'm skeptical about the no dye claim, but I like the colors, and grandma loves the feel of the cloth.
