Hello/Hola,

We are looking for Mesquite seeds as a hedge or tree row on the edge of our 3 hectare property that is our permie project in Catalonia Spain.
Is there any permie where they grow who is willing to send us some in exchange for reimbursing the postage?
We look forward to see how well they do here in this dry climate.
Keep growing,

Doug

I ordered some though ebay but they were not so many, about 20 (got one to germinate and is growing still small, another died as seedling). It would be best for you to order yourself. Cheaper for both of us.

There are several species of mesquite. Some are more drought tolerant than others.

Be cautious of the most drought tolerant species, as they can easily take so much water out of the soil that surrounding plants will die from thirst. Overplanted, they have been blamed for lowering the water table. Trees have been measured with roots 58m deep, and covering nearly an acre. Thirsty bastards!
