Just wondering about growing American Chestnut

Wonder how it would the American chestnut grow in the most southern part of indiana? I'm in the northern part of a count that borders the Ohio River. Zone 6.

In theory, it should be fine, but they will get sick. That's the real issue you have to work around.
 
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. I wrung this tiny ad and it was still dry.
