No really this is a true story.
Duck hunting along a nearly frozen river. Shoot a duck that happens to fall into an unfrozen eddy and he is lazily swirling, trying to figure out how to get it out.
Not a safe place for the dog to go.
In a tool box an old rusty rappala and a length of old climbing rope. Wire the rapalla to the rope and toss it over the duck to bring it in.
While the duck is getting pulled in the rope gets a hard hit. Keep pulling and along with the duck out comes an 18 inch brown. I wish I had a
video.
