If you'd like to know more about botany but think you don't have the time to learn (I am definitely in this group :) ) - Thomas Elpel's 'Botany in a Day' is a great read and fantastic place to start.

The content of the book is discussed by Thomas himself in the newly revised (online) permaculture design course which, packaged with the appropriate technology course, costs just $65 for 133 hours of content :)  It is epic and means you can binge-watch the equivalent of something like 14 seasons of 'everything you'd like to know about permaculture' wrapped up in one permie package.   The course content is a tremendous resource for anyone wanting to learn more about botany, permaculture (the entire content of a permaculture design course is included) and related technology that can enhance and improve your homestead in many valuable and useful ways.

Check out the course here!

Enjoy this excerpt of Thomas Elpel teaching at the online permaculture design course about botany in a day.

This short clip shows some of the introduction from Thomas's class, where he talks about his own journey to plant identification. You'll also see a small section of a plant walk discussing plant characteristics and patterns.
