I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to use cob to add onto a mobile home. I might buy land with a mobile on it. It is pretty much oriented with the long side facing south and the north wall as all redone with 2 by 4 framing and insulation and new wiring. I would want to redo the south wall with something, possibly cob, or build a large sun room onto it with cob, anyone know if that's doable and how to join the cob onto the rest of the structure?
I have helped build timber frames around older mobile homes, actually "encapsulating them" so I see not reason that you couldn't do it with cobb. I tend to only use cobb as an infill method, so I may be off on this assessment, but you idea seems doable to me.
