My mother-in-law lives in Mexico in an urban area. In front of her home she has planted three palm trees. They are in a small area between the sidewalk and the street, each having about a 3'x3' square of open soil dirt that they were planted into. I do not know the type of palm. Does anyone here know what any good companions are for a palm that can help shade out the soil dirt and share other benefits?

So then I told Joseph Stalin to piss off! Remember that tiny ad?
