Hello all,

I grew up in Austin, Texas. It has good things, but so very packed with people now. Currently living a bit farther south, but dream of becoming self sufficient and having a homestead and no longer needing to rely on grocery stores. I grew up hunting and fishing with my father as well as gardening. I currently grow food in my backyard as well.
I am a spiritual person and enjoy noticing the many synchronicities the universe shows me. I am 28, white, light brown/ reddish hair and light brown eyes, I have a daughter who is 1. I am happy being a single mother but would like to find love again. I do not want to get on a dating site that feels extremely risky and people on this site share similar values.

my name is Sky.  I live in the Verde Valley of AZ….but its not very green most the year.  It is now…because we had some good rains and its spring.  I have an 8 year old daughter. I am divorced for the last few years.  Im am into everything permie and sustainable.  Its the obvious path.  I am in my upper 40's…but am younger looking and spirited.  I am just seeking to be with someone who is on a similar path on all levels.  I have a spiritual life and that always has and always will come first.  But am able to exist on all levels…including being a dedicated partner and father.  I am not good at all this online stuff….I do have a FB account your welcome to check out…although I believe you may need to friend me to see since my profile is not "public".  Welcome to friend me.  Or we can talk and just feel it out.  I have been around the block a few times…and am authentic and not going to play any games with you.  But Im sure you may want to find a younger man…but he's going to be…well, not as mature.  But perhaps you will be lucky and find a young man who has his game together…and owns land and has income and has worked though all his childhood issues.  They are out there…just not sure if they are on this site.  But anyhow…just figured I would reach out.  What the worst that can happen.  Life is full of risk….and it rewards those who take risks.  My advice….unsolicited I do know…but be mindful, be picky and don't settle for anything except excellence, integrity, and dedication to a higher mission.  Sky Mantis is my name.  Yes, its my real name.  lol.   Oh, btw…how was the eclipse?  did you get a break in the clouds from where you were?

Good morning. Just wanted to wish you luck and maybe suggest you tell a bit more about yourself. I've been a single father of two daughters since 2011 myself. Both out of the house now and I miss having them around. Sounds like you were raised a bit like my girls were. If that's the case then you're very independent and know your own mind and what you want in life. Raising girls off grid on a homestead certainly gives them a leg or two up from the rest. Beautiful pic too.

i'm a single dad in the hill country. (daughter is sixteen now) and i too am looking for companion to have a homestead with. Or at least share the sentiment and compare gardening notes lol ... maybe you could share with us the latest in your search or a life update. For me, here recently, it's all about surviving the hottest days of the year and getting ready for fall

Howdy Neighbor

Grew up south of Houston and I still own a house close to Galveston. About to go work further south down towards padre Island. I’m 39 and plan on building my own self sustainable compound here within the next 10 years. Just looking for the right person to do it with. Please excuse my picture as I hate taking selfies. I’m very spiritual and love fishing, gardening, hunting and camping. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I’ll send you a moosage with my contact information as well. Take care

What a small world! My parents were born and raised in Galveston! Grew up going to the island every summer at least, but haven’t been in a few years!

Hello!
Yes definitely all about surviving the HEAT down here! I will say we have been fortunate as it hasn’t been as brutal as last summer!

Well an update… still a single stay at home mom, I work from home currently, researching and planning my fall/winter garden, still haven’t met anyone.

Hmm, that’s funny your parents are from Galveston. I’m my house is in League City if you know where that is. Job for SpaceX fell through in Brownsville so it doesn’t look like I’ll be working further down South. Got an interview with another company on Tuesday that will keep me around the Houston area and the south coast area. Hope you are having a good weekend.
