Evening all,

I wish to move the strawberries I planted summer just past to another area in the allotment where other fruiting crops are growing and I was wondering if I can do this now or should I wait until it gets 'warmer'?

Is there a set 'seasonal time' when strawberries can be planted?

Many thanks,

Samuel

Now is better than later. Strawberries are usually pretty tolerant of being moved around, but it is better to do it when they are dormant. I got all mine relocated to their new homes a couple weeks ago.

We are planning to relocate ours over the next two weeks...a bit colder here than it is for John and we are due for ICE and more freezing temps in the next few days. I try to catch them somewhere in between frozen ground and when they start growing again. The deer have kept them eaten back so badly this year that I hope I can find them to move them to a fenced area.

Hang a left on main. Then read this tiny ad:
