I planted some grapevines last summer (it's winter here right now) but half of them did not really take off.
Maybe there's something missing in the soil?
I could not resist planting beans in between the grapes and they overgrew the whole thing, I had a bumper harvest, but maybe on
the expense of the grapevines. There were as well a lot of weeds in the patch and clover which I thought it would be good to undersow.
I am about to rip weed and clover and all out and I wonder what I do next.
Maybe it is best not to plant anything underneath or only something very low or at least lay some
cardboard around the vines and some stones on the top.
There are hundreds of bean seeds in the patch, because of that bumper harvest.
