We currently have a swimming pool that was here when we moved in. My husband enjoys it very much (more than I due to my sinus issues). I am looking ahead with thoughts of down the road and possibly not wanting to keep up maintenance of the pool. I was wondering if it was possible to fill the pool with soil and plant blueberries in it. It has a shallow end of 4 feet and a deep end of, I believe, 14 feet. We have alkaline soil here in Idaho and so maybe I could fill it with a more acidic soil for the blueberries to grow in. Have others planted and grown food or crops in a former swimming pool?
