Love the great outdoors, but not quite ready to go Into The Wild-style and give up hot water and electricity just yet? Slovakian architects have just revealed a super-compact capsule that promises to deliver a nomadic lifestyle, with all the renewable-powered comforts of home. And we really want one.

The whole thing is pretty cramped, measuring just 2.55 m x 4.45 m x 2.25 m, but it's designed to be entirely self-sufficient for two adults, and is kitted out with a retractable 750 W wind turbine and 2.6 square-metres of solar panels.

Even camping in that would probably bring out the worst in people, sorry to say.

I may end up saying this a few times, but there has to be another building to hold all of the hardware, tools and maintenance things that it takes to have a tiny house. And another building to park a car. And another building for a pump house to get water. They never show that part. Ever notice that a barn is about 3 times as big as the house? It's not just for the cows.

Sorry, unless I am having to live on the Moon, Mars or in space someplace, structures like this just do not appeal to me...I own that is subjective and I am perhaps a bit to "left field," but plastic eggs are not something I want to live in or see in pristine places on a mountain...

I am sorry if that isn't a popular feeling toward something like this, and if others like it and find it a good thing to live in...I support their choice 100%.

I had a look at it and they don't tell you any technical details. While the whole thing looks cool, wind turbines are usually not installed on the roof for a good reason, and the mast is very low.
I have my doubts that any water reaches the tank underneath, in a drizzle maybe but not a downpour. It seems that everything is photoshopped and that there is no funcitional protype.
What is done with the waste water? Which type of toilet is built in? Why should it be any more enviro than a campervan with some solar panels?
