we have done one buried / with a slight mound hugele bed I am interested in the idea of adding more to work as combination compaction / drainage improvements in a gaarden section that gets slightly boggy part of the season .
my idea is to dig more sunken hugelculture /
compost beds in the areas with poor drainage to allow those beds to store moisture for the summer , we have a lot of brush and composted Ramial chipped
wood tree trimmings from the
local electric companies trimming of the over head power lines .
we have a bog near the garden and a section that is soggy in spring and after heavy rains . I want to make below ground compost pits to capture this moisture
what would be a Good slow release nitrogen source to add
I have a bulldozer so each pit will be the width of the blade I think it is about 5 feet
