When I was a high school senior, one of my friends was rod muilenburg.  He had an old car, and he let some of us ride around with him on friday nights.

Rod also had a dumpy schwinn bicycle - really old and really heavy.  And he rode around town a fair bit on that.

One day he saw a few dozen people at a park with bicycles.  Rod stopped and asked what was going on.  A bike race was about to start.  "You should enter!  It's free!"  So, Rod entered.

Then he noticed that the other cyclists had fancy pants bicycles and fancy .... well ... pants.  Those stretchy black shorts for cyclists.  Rod was the only guy there not wearing the fancy shorts.    Rod was wearing jeans.  And he had a little clip on one leg to keep his jeans from getting caught in the bicycle chain stuff.

Rod won the race.

When people tell me that I need a better camera, or that my video is shaky or my editing sucks, I think of my old friend Rod and how my video is getting more views than the other videos on that topic.

That feels good. Thanks. Here's a tiny ad:
