My partner and I are working as
dairy interns. The farm provided a trailer for us and it is outfitted with a DirectTV. We have never had TV in the three years that we've been together so it is fun and annoying all at once. I won't miss it when we move and don't have TV. Anyway I found a really interesting channel, 345 RFDTV. It stands for Rural Free Delivery, and they are out of Branson, MO. It is really all over the place, with some great farming,
gardening, and cooking tips along with some good country and
roots music. They show livestock auctions from Fort Worth.Like anything, I find I have to sift through the dirt to find the gems. But there are some gems and it is refreshing to have a completely different style TV channel. My favorite (much to my partner's dismay) is reruns of Hee-Haw on Sunday nights. If you are around Direct TV check it out, maybe you'll find something you like on it
