I have a stash of row cover material that was contaminated by mice. How can I clean this material, or should I just chuck it? Consider that this is a community garden, that the fabrics will cover salad greens, and that I'm in hanta virus territory.

High purity isopropyl or ethyl alcohol can kill back bacteria and virus.  If you dried the row cover in the sun afterward the treatment should not leave any residue and reduce the risk of contamination of your veggies significantly.  Sanitizers are often are most effective when allowed to dry, contact time is important.  You also might want to wash the row cover first.  Of course it is also respectable to dispose of the row cover if you are very concerned.
