I'm new to growing...anything, and I'm looking for ideas on what to plant around the front porch area.
I'm in North East Florida.

I was just going to plan some shrubs near the house and flowers everywhere else, but after learning about permaculture, I would like something a bit more 'useful'.

They doesn't have to be all edible or useful plants, but I'd like to hear any ideas you may have.

Pictures are what I have to work with.
Right side it about 12' by 6'.
Left side is about 8' by 6'.
Two little 4' by 1' strips by the steps.

HELP!

perennial herbs or vegetables.....less maintenance and you can eat them...just pick varieties you like....

It's just like a fortune cookie, but instead of a cookie, it's pie. And we'll call it ... tiny ad:
