my husband came home yesterday with a cup  of beechnuts..we are big tree lovers and so I immediately looked up where and how to grow them and planted them in the ground.

Anyone here ever grow beech trees from nuts? I'm wondering how fast they grow (as the books all say SLOWLY)..probably won't do much in my lifetime but always thinking toward the future here.

There's a pdf on this page that examines many of the factors influencing yield in beech nut groves - age of trees, diameter of trees, % of the forest in beech trees, etc.
