How did you find the right hori?

Having seen David's tin can cooking hardware in action I can testify that these things do work.  We boiled a large pot of water for spaghetti on one.  My$200 propane grill couldn't do it.

Thanks but that seems like a really huge geographic area.  Was hoping to focus on on a drivable area of maybe 2-3 hours.  Obviously whatever you all think is best works for us. Thanks

We bought land in central south Kentucky a little over a year ago.  We are making progress on remodeling an old cabin.  Trying to figure out where to build out various things: hugel beds, animal runs, house, food fores, greenhouse.  Location effects rainwater catchment which is our plan for water.  Following Paul's lead on humanure.  Planning on off grid solar and rocket mass heater.  Possibly a Wofati type house, really just figuring out options.  Would love to connect with others.  We drive down from IN so could easily detour to meet up at more northern homesteads.
