i'm a weaver. there are a million ways to make towels from scratch with cotton yarn, depending on how far you want to go down the rabbit hole of fiber arts. i made all of our hand towels and tea towels that we use... one thing is for sure, they will last forever and they get softer with each washing. if you look on line for weaving patterns, there is an overwhelming amount of options. i use a 4 shaft floor loom, but you could do it with a simple frame loom or an inexpensive rigid heddle loom. they weave up fast and it's very satisfying to use your own towels. have fun with your new hobby!
