I don’t know if you still check this thread but I’m 24(f) in Illinois and I’ve lived in the city my whole life but I’m extremely interested in homesteading. I’m looking for an opportunity a lot like the one your family is offering and I guess the hunt continues but I just wanted to say that I hope you got the help you needed and I hope you guys are doing well in your homestead journey!
P.S. I do hope your sons come around and appreciate what you’re trying to do! It made me sad to see that you think they’d sell off your property 😭
