Hello Food Foresters,

I have a couple happy avocado trees, one is very small still and planted under a very large arbor for protection. She (Bonny) seems happy there and can easily grow up through the top. I have a wonderful south facing side of the arbor that is prime growing space in my extremely small yard, and I am thinking a vine would do really well there and help shade the young avocado. I currently have some grapes I was given last week and I was thinking that might be nice there. I can't find any information about good companion plants for avocados other than comfrey, and I have a couple plants on the avocado tree mounds.

Would grapes be ok planted on a arbor just a couple feet from the avocado tree? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any advice!
Kali
